Eggless cookies

125g butter
125g caster sugar
200g self-raising flour
1tbsp water
Caramelised apples OR
Milk chocolate OR
Smarties OR
anything else you think goes in a cookie

Cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Stir in all other ingredients until a firm cookie dough is formed. Roll and cut. Lay them out on a greased, lined baking sheet. Space well apart as they will expand when cooked. Bake for about 12 minutes at 180C or until golden. Leave to cool for 5 minutes on the sheet then transfer to a cooling wire rack.
